There is no fossil fuel or fuel transport costs.

OTEC International LLC (OTI) was established by the non-profit Abell Foundation in 2001. This followed Abell’s exclusive licence of Sea Solar Power technology, the company that pioneered OTEC technology in the 60s and 70s.
